In partnership with the private business sector, SNDS provides resources (such as funding for training courses, career counseling and tutoring on an as-needed basis) to First Nation individuals to attain provincial journeyman trade certification. SNDS also offers wage subsidy to private sector sponsors to hire an apprentice. All applicants must go through a thorough counseling session to ensure minimum requirements are met, PRIOR to training. Applicants are required to successfully complete classroom portion of training each year. Please see Trades Apprenticeship Application Package for detailed application process.
